About Richmond Hill Rubber Surfacing

Who We Are

Richmond Hill Rubber Surfacing pours rubber across Richmond Hill, Markham, Vaughan and Thornhill, on pool decks, driveways, garage floors, patios, steps, playgrounds, gym floors and commercial and equestrian buildings. We carry full insurance on every job, we measure before we quote, and the quote names the product, the thickness and the area so nothing is left to guesswork.

About Richmond Hill Rubber Surfacing

The Preparation Is The Job

How long a rubber surface lasts is decided by the bond under it, and the bond is decided before any rubber comes off the truck. That is why the first visit is about the slab, not the colour: is it moving, is it holding water, is it coated in a sealer that will stop the rubber gripping. If any of those is true, the quote says what has to happen first and what it will cost. We do not pour over a problem and hope.

The Two Materials We Pour

SBR is the trade name for black recycled rubber: tough, economical, and our default for garages, driveways and barn aisles. EPDM is coloured rubber, which keeps its colour in sunlight for years and is our default for pool decks, patios and playgrounds. A lot of our jobs put an EPDM wear layer over an SBR base, for the look of one at closer to the cost of the other.

Where We Work

Richmond Hill is home base, from Richvale and Mill Pond in the south up through Bayview Hill, Jefferson and Elgin Mills to Oak Ridges and Lake Wilcox at the top of the city. Markham and Vaughan are next door and treated the same way, and Thornhill sits across both. We also take on barn work on the rural lots toward Gormley.

How We Arrive At A Price

Somebody comes to the property, measures the surface, checks it for movement, moisture and old coatings, and writes a fixed price for that surface. Two decks of the same size can be different prices because one needs grinding and the other does not, and the quote explains why rather than hiding it in a rate.

Start With A Visit

There is no charge for the visit or the quote. Name the surface and estimate its size, and the measuring and the specification are ours to do. Look over the rubber surfacing services we offer, or get in touch to set a time.

What We Install

What We Install

Rubber surfacing for homes, condos, schools, businesses and horse barns across Richmond Hill and York Region.

Pool Deck Surfacing

Richmond Hill Rubber Surfacing pours rubber surfacing over concrete and interlock pool decks, sealing the cracks around the coping and giving wet feet a surface with real grip. The old deck stays in place and becomes the base, so a deck that would otherwise need a full replacement is finished in a day or two. We carry full insurance on every job.

Driveway and Garage Floor Surfacing

Richmond Hill Rubber Surfacing installs rubber surfacing over pitted, cracked and salt-damaged driveways and garage floors, and the concrete underneath never has to be broken out. The rubber seals the surface against salt and oil, hides the damage that is already there, and gives a car something to grip on a January morning. We carry full insurance on every job.

Playground Safety Surfacing

Richmond Hill Rubber Surfacing pours seamless rubber playground surfacing for schools, daycares, parks, churches and backyards, with the thickness set by the height of the equipment it sits under. The surface is a cushioning base layer under a coloured wear layer, it drains through, and it stays where it is poured instead of migrating like mulch or pea gravel. We carry full insurance on every job.

Patio, Walkway and Step Surfacing

Richmond Hill Rubber Surfacing applies rubber surfacing over concrete, stamped concrete and interlock patios, front walkways and outdoor steps, turning a slippery, uneven surface into one seamless piece with grip built into it. Nothing is lifted or replaced, and the job is usually finished in a day. We carry full insurance on every job.
